Q: Can I download and use VirtualDJ for free ?
If you are not using it professionally, and do not use any professional equipment like a USB DJ controller, or a DJ mixer, then VirtualDJ is FREE to download and use for non-commercial purposes at home (It cannot be used at gigs where you are being paid.)
If you need to use VirtualDJ for professional/commercial purpose and/or unlock advanced features (such as use of MIDI controllers and external DJ mixers, advanced video features, control via Timecode (DVS) systems, etc), a License needs to be purchased.
Without any purchased license, VirtualDJ allows you to mix using your mouse and keyboard only and will also provide you the ability to test the advanced features for 10 minutes at a time (as demo) prior purchasing the necessary license .
