It doesn’t feel all that long ago that we reviewed Neutron 2 (alongside Ozone 8), which included a solid suite of mixing processors and useful tools alongside several new features and improvements to iZotope’s AI Mix Assistant. Now we are at version 3, with a similar-looking product on the surface, but look a little deeper.

Now, the Boston-based developers have released Neutron Elements, a feature-rich, simple, cheaper alternative for producers and podcasters on a budget. Incorporating some of the key features from Neutron, this is a plug-in that is designed to help users to achieve better sounding mixes faster and with greater ease.

Wine for Mac (originally an acronym for 'Wine Is Not an Emulator') is a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, macOS, & BSD. Instead of simulating internal Windows logic like a virtual machine or emulator, Wine for macOS translates Windows API calls into POSIX calls on-the-fly, eliminating the performance.
